WordPress CMS allows users to maintain different type of content seamlessly. Furthermore, WordPress allows you to use tools (usually plugins) easily as well. And you can find WordPress plugin to do almost anything that you want.

WordPress Media Library

Your media library default settings are designed to give you options such as quickly setting the image sizes before they are uploaded to your WordPress media library or even change the upload file location and set them within date based folders. All these default settings allow you to manage your media files easily as your website grows.

Also, keep in mind that you can upload many different file types within your Media Library such as PDF files, Movie Files, MP3 files, Word Documents and others.

WordPress Links Manager

I haven’t seen the links manager feature being used for many years now. Perhaps you may comment about how you are using it?

WordPress Comments

Because you are creating content for people to read and interact with, managing comment is a straight forward process using WordPress comments. The most important default here is to set Before a comment appears > Comment must be manually approved (this option is under Settings > Discussions in your WP Dashboard).

Since WordPress also gets comment spam regularly, you can try combating comment spam using external services such as Akismet Spam Protection for WordPress. You can also throw this in .htaccess file to allow comments only from your own site

WordPress Tools

This by default is used for importing and exporting WordPress settings. However, some plugins also create options under Tools menu. If there is one tool that I always use is Broken Link checker plugin (this plugin will create a menu option under tools) for quickly double checking and maintaining broken links which are a normal part of websites and internet.

As you can see the main reasons for WordPress being special for you to create a website and easily manage your content.
