Using CSS3 Transition and CSS Transform styling I was able to achieve an reflecting color effect that you may not find anywhere else. Hover your mouse over this image to see what happens. CSS3 Transform Property

The transform property applies a 2D or 3D transformation to an element. This property allows you to rotate, scale, move, skew, etc., elements.

CSS3 Transitions

CSS3 transitions allows you to change property values smoothly (from one value to another), over a given duration.
